Capital Campaign;
The Final Stage
With long-term improvements to the roof and the porch complete, the Friends can now turn their attention to the church’s valuable community space.
This heavily used space downstairs is little changed since the 1950s. It needs improvements for accessibility and safety.
In times of crisis, the building will serve as Tyringham’s emergency shelter, a true safe haven for our town.
The need to replace the unpredictable furnace is driving this major project. The unforgettable 2023 Christmas Eve Candlelight service was celebrated in an historic way – without heat.
In addition to our furnace…
A new wing with a stairwell and lift, ensuring full handicap accessibility to the Sanctuary and Community Room.
Essential Upgrades: electrical and plumbing
A new kitchen and restrooms.
Gutters and improved subsurface drainage.
Recently multiple Berkshire County churches have closed their doors. The Friends are dedicated to preserving Tyringham’s most visible landmark — not just as a place of worship, but as a welcoming community resource in moments of celebration and in times of need.
